Ring Family Farm raises funds for Make-A-Wish Maine
CANAAN, Maine (WABI) - A farm in Canaan helped raise funds for Maine’s Make-A-Wish Foundation on October 12th.
The Ring Family Farm opened its gates for its 15th annual Fall Family Fay in support of Make-A-Wish Maine.
For a $20 donation at the gate guests were treated to live music, a free BBQ lunch, and more.
If visitors wanted to contribute further they could purchase baked goods, pots of flowers, or enter the raffle.
The event serves as a way to not just raise funds for make-a-wish but to bring the community together as well.
Local artisans and crafters use this as an opportunity to show their skills and sell their goods while supporting a good cause.
“It takes a whole community to make this work. A lot of people give me the credit, but without the community, it wouldn’t work. We wouldn’t be able to do it. You know when I first started doing this my dream was to raise ten thousand dollars... and that was a hundred and seventy thousand dollars ago,” said Danny Ring, one owner of Ring Family Farm.
If you missed the event but would still like to donate you can visit wish.org/maine to do so.
