PALMYRA, Maine (WABI) - Two people are facing charges after reportedly stealing nearly $900 worth of merchandise from the Palmyra Walmart.

State police were called to the store Wednesday for a report of a woman shoplifter.

She and a man allegedly hid the stolen items in a plastic bin after removing them from a back pack.

State police identified Karey Sinclair and Matthew Smullen, both 37 and both from Bangor as the suspects.

Troopers searched their car and allegedly found several hypodermic needles along with other drug related items.

Sinclair was already on bail conditions for theft at a Walmart store. She was taken to the Somerset County Jail.

Smullen was issued criminal summonses.
