ORONO, Maine (WABI) - Maine’s Emmie Streams-Stevens married her husband, Wyatt, on Aug. 8 at the Barn at Loon Cove in Skowhegan.

Emmie and her teammates spoke about the wedding that turned into a Black Bear women’s basketball reunion.

“It was great. They were great. They were on the dance floor the whole night,” said Streams-Stevens, senior guard.

“I was grateful to be a bridesmaid at Emmie’s wedding. We all just took over the dance floor. It was really fun,” said Lizzy Gruber, senior center.

“Oh my gosh. I don’t even know where to begin. Emmie and Wyatt are just the best. It was a beautiful wedding. Everything was great about it. Emmie looked gorgeous. Oh my gosh. It was like the highlight of the summer, for sure,” said Maddie Fitzpatrick, redshirt sophomore guard.

Head coach Amy Vachon said Streams-Stevens is the first married player she’s had on her team.
