Cheese company buys Pineland Farms dairy manufacturing building in Bangor

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The City of Bangor has announced that the Pineland Farms Dairy manufacturing building in Bangor has been acquired by Tropical Cheese Industries LLC.

Tropical intends to keep the same management and staff at the Bangor location, according to the City of Bangor. Officials said there will be no immediate change to existing customer and supplier relationships.

The Bangor manufacturing location will be Tropical’s second core cheese manufacturing location.

“The facility provides an important foundation for our future growth. Bangor brings together an experienced workforce, strong connections to Maine’s dairy community, and the infrastructure and room to expand production over time. We are excited to invest in the operation and the community,” said Victor Mehren, Chief Executive Officer of Tropical Cheese Industries.
