Maine education leaders name 2027 Superintendent of the Year

AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) — Cari Medd of MSAD 52 has been named the 2027 Maine Superintendent of the Year. The district serves Greene, Leeds and Turner.

Medd has spent three decades as an educator and administrator in western Maine, including 14 years at Poland High School, where she was named Principal of the Year in 2014.

Maine’s 2026 Superintendent of the Year, Heather Perry of Goham, handed the award to Medd at the annual Maine School Superintendents Association meeting in Augusta on October 28.
