Flag Day ceremony and Cub Scout event set for Sunday in Corinth

CORINTH, Maine (WABI) - The Dow Lougee Legion Post 115 in partnership with Pack 53 is inviting the public to a Flag Day retirement ceremony and Cub Scout bridge ceremony on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at American Legion Post 115.

Sunday is Flag Day, celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the United States flag.

The event will celebrate scouts’ achievements with a bridge ceremony, followed by a community cookout.

The Darlings Ice Cream Truck will be on site from noon to 2 p.m.

The event is free and open to all.

Community members are encouraged to bring worn or damaged flags for dignified disposal.
