Karen Richards Toothaker releases latest children’s book: ‘Lobster Bake and Blueberry Cake’

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - “Cooking dinner in a trashcan, imagine that!”

Those words from award-winning author Karen Richards Toothaker’s grandson inspired her newest children’s book “Lobster Bake and Blueberry Cake.”

Summary:

“This Maine-centric book tells the tale of a traditional lobster bake with a twist!

“How can Trashman Tim cook up a down-home lobster feast with just some stones and a shiny new trash can? He’ll need the help of his loyal dog, Daisy, and his very special guests, who each contribute their own unique offering.”

As a bonus, there are lobster bake directions and a blueberry cake recipe included.

This is the third time Toothaker has joined the WABI Book Club. Her other titles include “The Rag Doll Gift,” “Say Cheese! A to Z” and “Something to Sing About.”
