Anthem, Covenant Health reach new contract agreement in Maine

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Maine and Covenant Health have reached a new, multi-year contract agreement, both sides announced Thursday.

The agreement allows Anthem members to remain in-network at all Covenant Health facilities and services.

Local facilities included

Locally, those facilities include St. Joseph Hospital, St. Joseph Primary and Specialty Care, and long-term, rehab, and community-based services affiliated with Covenant Health.

In a joint press release, the two organizations said: “The renewed contract reflects a shared commitment between Anthem and Covenant Health to provide access to high-quality, affordable care to individuals, families, and employers throughout the state.”
