Old Town Police host baking goods drive, supporting three local food pantries

OLD TOWN, Maine (WABI) - For the month of February, Old Town Public Safety wants to share the love and make life a little sweeter for those in need through their Baking Goods Drive.

For the whole month, folks can donate cake, brownie and cookie mixes, and other baking supplies such as pans and essential ingredients like flour and sugar.

These will be distributed to Old Town’s three food pantries.

As a team dedicated to serving their community, officers say partnering with local food pantries is just another way to show their support.

“They do so many great things for our community,” says Lt. Ryan Bailey of the pantries. “There are needs out there for individuals, so for us to be able to do this and provide the necessary goods that they need to distribute this out to the community, it’s something that we’re excited to be a part of.“

There are multiple drop-off locations including the police station, Old Town Public Library, Maine Savings Bank, and more.
