Social media posts straining partnership between Clinton Police and other agencies
CLINTON, Maine (WABI) - The chief of the Clinton Police Department says they have been receiving criticism in the past couple of weeks because of their social media posts.
You may have seen some of their viral Facebook posts, especially during the holiday season.
While some may look at it as a great way to interact with the community, other agencies seem to disagree.
The Clinton Police Chief says some government agencies are refusing to work with the department because of these posts.
Although the chief calls this very sad, he says the department will be putting a stop to the posts in hopes other departments will continue to offer them assistance on calls.
He hopes the department can find a place where they can still entertain their followers without causing other departments to avoid working with them.
