Local insurance agency donates Guardian Caps to Old Town High School football program

OLD TOWN, Maine (WABI) - Orono’s Kylie Bean Insurance Agency donated 40 Guardian Caps to protect the Old Town High School varsity and JV football teams at practice.

The donation arrived in time for the start of August preseason practice, and the caps last three-to-five seasons.

Bean’s son, Alex, is a junior on the Coyotes.

“It’s really my mission as a local business to support my community the way they support me. I have kids that play sports, and they deserve safety over shiny shirts with my name on them or something. I hope more businesses decide to do something like this,” said Bean.

The donation totaled $2,984.96 through a discount with League Outfitters.
