Man charged in Perry woman’s murder appears in court for probation violation

AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - A Washington county man accused of tampering with evidence in connection with the death of a Perry woman appeared in court for a probation violation.

According to court records, Donnell Dana violated his probation on April 8th with criminal threatening, disorderly conduct, and refusing to submit to arrest.

He also was on a no alcohol use order but was found in possession of alcohol.

Dana admitted to the matter in court Thursday.

Dana and Kailee Brackett were both charged with the murder of 43-year-old Kimberly Neptune.

Dana’s murder trial ended in a mistrial and Brackett’s conviction was thrown out by Maine’s highest court.

According to Dana’s bail conditions, he was allowed to go to a treatment facility in Lewiston which is almost completed according to the AG’s office, but he now he has to go to another sober living facility.
