US Mint to release new 250th anniversary quarter

(Gray News) - The U.S. Mint is releasing a new quarter to commemorate the nation’s 250th anniversary.

The quarter will enter circulation Monday.

The Declaration of Independence quarter features Thomas Jefferson on one side and the Liberty Bell on the other.

Jefferson authored the Declaration of Independence and later served as the nation’s third president.

Quarters featuring the Mayflower and the Revolutionary War entered circulation earlier this year.

The Constitution and Gettysburg Address quarters are coming later this year.
