28-year-old hit and killed by USPS delivery truck, police say

CINCINNATI (WXIX/Gray News) - Authorities in Ohio are investigating a deadly overnight collision involving a Postal Service vehicle.

According to St. Bernard police, a 28-year-old woman died after she was hit by a USPS delivery truck on Wednesday at about 2 a.m.

“Officers responded to Vine Street for a report of a female pedestrian who had been struck by a vehicle,” Lt. J. Alex Mathis shared. “Officers discovered a female with serious injuries who had been struck outside a crosswalk.”

According to Mathis, the woman was transported to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, but she did not survive her injuries.

The collision remains under investigation. Police said charges were not immediately filed against the driver.
