BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Good evening, and happy Sunday everyone. Temperatures remain warm this evening, throughout the 50s and 60s as of 5:30pm. Sunshine is abundant across Maine, although clouds are a bit more stubborn and remain in greater amounts from Mount Desert Island along the Midcoast into Southern Maine. Visibility remains excellent and winds are relatively calm.

Skies will remain partly to mostly clear tonight. Lows will vary from the mid 30s to low 40s with light and variable winds.

Dry weather will continue throughout the start of the work week. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny on Monday, before becoming completely sunny on Tuesday. Highs will vary throughout the 50s and 60s on both days. Winds will be pretty calm on Monday, before picking up in the afternoon on Tuesday with E/SE gusts reaching 20-25 mph.

After four consecutive dry days from Saturday through Tuesday, cloudier conditions and scattered rain showers will develop across Maine on Tuesday night, lasting through Wednesday. High temps will take a hit on Wednesday, varying from the mid 40s to mid 50s with ESE gusts reaching 20-25 mph.

Thursday and Friday look to be the wettest days of the week as a large and slow moving upper-level low is expected to settle in. Models are starting to agree a bit more on timing than they did Sunday morning. Both the GFS (American) and ECMWF (Euro) models have a few showers on Thursday morning, before the bulk of precipitation enters on Thursday afternoon/evening, lasting throughout the majority of Friday. This timing may deviate a bit, but Thursday and Friday are expected to be the wettest days of the week. Highs will only reach the 40s and 50s with wind gusts peaking between 20-30 mph.
