Penobscot Valley captures Class D state girls basketball title over Mt. Abram

AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Penobscot Valley defeated Mt. Abram, 42-35, to win the Class D state girls basketball championship.

“It’s amazing. I’m so proud of the team. I can’t even put it into words,” said Rylee Moulton, senior guard.

“(It was) the work we put in all year, starting in the summer. Pushing through a long season is what it is and doing all that work,” said Lila Cummings, senior forward.

Moulton and Cummings are the two seniors on the Howlers’ roster.
