Mattanawcook Academy captures Class C North girls basketball title

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The Mattanawcook Academy Lynx won the Class C North girls basketball championship, 41-22, over Foxcroft Academy.
“It’s so special. This is something that we’ve worked for all four years that I’ve been here. It’s so exciting to finally be able to do it. It’s so special to be able to do it with this group of girls that I’m so close with. It’s really, really special,” said Megan House, senior guard.
The Lynx will be up against Spruce Mountain in the state championship on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. at the Augusta Civic Center.
