Author Moe Claire releases second book in Downeast Maine mystery series
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Author Moe Claire is back with the second installment in her Pyke Island Mystery Series.
She spoke with WABI back in August about the first book in the series “A Fickle Tide." The second book in the series, “Granite and Bones” was released this past fall.
The books are based on contemporary stories that center on the fictional Pyke Island in Downeast Maine.
“Granite and Bones” Summary:
“Book two continues the narrative of geology student Del Corriveau. Her summer exploration takes a chilling turn when she uncovers a hidden cave beneath a granite dome on Pyke Island. And the skeleton of a man who vanished five years ago. What begins as research into a granite peak soon becomes a dangerous unraveling of loyalties, legacies, betrayal, and revenge.”
Claire is retired from a career in computer science. When she is not writing, she enjoys summer and winter in Acadia National Park, and volunteers for several local non-profits.
