Home sales were up in October despite price increase

MAINE (WABI) - Despite an increase in home prices, sales were up in October.

According to the Maine Association of Realtors, more than 1,651 homes sold in October.

That is a 10% increase compared to October 2024 when less than 1,491 homes were sold.

Prices jumped by nearly 8% with the average home selling for $426,000.

In October 2024, the average price for a house was $395,000.
