Woman, 77, accused of fatally shooting man who ‘jokingly requested she shoot him,’ authorities say
CINCINNATI (WXIX/Gray News) - A 77-year-old woman is accused of fatally shooting a man who “jokingly requested she shoot him,” according to authorities.
Kathleen Geiger is charged with reckless homicide after police say she shot Arthur Osborne on Sunday.

According to an affidavit, Geiger “recklessly caused” Osborne’s death by shooting him once in the pelvic region.
Geiger told police “she and Osborne were engaged in harmless banter when he jokingly requested she shoot him,” police wrote in the sworn statement.
Geiger said she thought her “firearm was empty, pointed the weapon at Osborne and pulled the trigger.”
Police say she “eventually” provided medical aid and called 911.
Geiger’s bond was set at $10,000 at a Monday morning hearing. The case goes to a grand jury for possible indictment next Thursday.
