4-year-old girl struck, killed by vehicle in driveway of North Berwick home, police say

BERWICK, Maine (WMTW) - A 4-year-old girl is dead after she was struck by a vehicle in the driveway of a North Berwick home, according to police.

North Berwick police Chief Stephen Peasley said the incident happened at about 4:45 p.m. Thursday at 74 Buffum Road.

First responders rushed the girl to Wentworth-Douglas Hospital in Dover, New Hampshire, where she died of her injuries.

Peasley said the crash is still under investigation, but he added investigators do not believe impairment or any motor vehicle violations were contributing factors.
