Sip & Sign event in Orono celebrates Women’s History Month

BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Four Maine women authors will gather Thursday evening for a Sip & Sign event at The Store Ampersand in Orono as part of Women’s History Month.

The event runs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. and is free to attend. Wine tasting and books will be available.

Authors and panel

Authors Dr. Ewa Kleczyk, Suzanne Carver, Amber Hathaway and Moe Claire will participate in a panel discussion celebrating women authors from around the state of Maine.

They will be discussing the intersections of thematic elements of their genres from non-fiction to horror, as well as the work they have done behind the scenes in crafting their works. All four authors have been featured on WABI Book Club.

Kleczyk and Carver will preview the event during the WABI Book Club segment on the 4 p.m. newscast Thursday.
