Namdar Realty Group making repairs to the Bangor Mall
BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - Repairs to the Bangor Mall are reportedly underway after a judge ruled earlier this month that the owners of the mall had violated multiple city ordinances.
In a statement from Bangor Mall’s management, Namdar Realty Group, they say the damaged stormwater lines that were leaking untreated sewage into a nearby stream have been cleared.
They say they’re currently working with the Department of Environmental Protection to repair the storm drains and develop a plan of action to clean up any contamination.
They say they are continuing to repair roof leaks, replace skylights, and a vendor has been hired to assess the parking lot.
They also say steps have been taken to replace the sign at the corner of Bangor Mall Boulevard and Hogan Road.
According to mall management, a representative from the City of Bangor will be on-site during the repair process.
We have reached out to the City for a statement, but we have not heard back.
