The low pressure system over the Atlantic will nudge northward overnight tonight. This will bring more scattered rain showers across the state as they stream in form southeast to northwest. An upper level low will then capture the surface low and pull it closer to the region for Monday. This will bring more showers activity through the rest of the work week.

The low over the Atlantic will nudge northward a bit today, the trough extended westward from the low will pivot southward today. This will allow for showers to gradually taper off across northern Maine while scattered showers and light rain continue through the Bangor region and Downeast. The low will continue to push northward towards southern Nova scotia overnight into Monday. Moisture will stream in from southeast to northwest overnight allowing more showers to push into northern Maine by Monday morning. The low will sit and spin over the region for the rest of the week providing daily chances for rain.

Showers over New Brunswick will push westward into eastern areas of the state overnight. Overnight lows drop into the upper 30′s north to lower 40′s Downeast. Dreary, cold and wet weather will continue into Sunday. The low-pressure system will push closer to the coast Sunday. Showers will continue to spread westward and will become more widespread to areas south of Millinocket for Sunday while patchy and scattered showers impact northern Maine. The work week remains unsettled with almost daily chances for rain.
