Orono Boys, Orono Girls and Camden Hills Win State Cross Country Meet Titles

CUMBERLAND, MAINE (WABI) - The state cross country meet held in Cumberland this year. A big day for Orono boys and girls teams as they both did well enough to claim the class C state titles. The girls won by one point over Maranacook. Camille Kohtala of Orono finished runner up individually. So did Deer Isle-Stonington's Brendan Penfold.

Camden Hills girls claimed the class A title. Augusta Stockman and Grace Iltis went 2nd and 3rd.

Southern Maine runners dominated in the other races. Although, Hampden's Wyatt Lord came in 2nd in class A boys race. Congratulations to all the competitors for getting to run at state.
