OTO's Street recovering from surgery in Boston, community supporting him from home

OLD TOWN, MAINE (WABI) - Old Town/Orono hockey is the defending state champions. They are 7 and 1 and face heal points leading Camden Hills Friday night for first place in class B north. The game is at Alfond at 7 pm.

One of their players, Dylan Street is in the hospital in Boston this week. His coaches were there visit. He's had a shunt in his body to fix a disease most of his life and it recently became infected.
Street had surgery for it and will be in Boston for 3 weeks recovering. They hope that’s all.

The community is trying to help. The Old Town cheerleaders raising a few hundred dollars last night at the middle school. There is a Skating Strides event for Dylan February 10th at Alfond Arena and a bunch of other events planned to help raise money to offset the medical costs.
