BANGOR, MAINE (WABI) - Moose hunting season means a chance of getting meat for dinner for hunters.
For those that monitor the three one week hunts in northern Maine, it's a chance to gather information.
This week at the tagging stations they measure antler spread, weigh the animal and determine the age.
During the next hunt they'll do tick counts on the animals.
There have been several taken this week that were over 1,000 pounds.
