BANGOR, MAINE (WABI) - Some big soccer honors for a number of local players. Four high school players from Maine have been named All-Americans. Two of them from our part of the state. Kristina Kelly from Camden Hills already has the school record with 71 career goals and she just finished her sophomore season. Kelly scored 39 goals this fall as the jammers won the state title. On the boys side, Garth Berenyi is also an All-American. He scored 32 goals this past season and also owns the school record with 57 career goals.
Michael Wildes of Winslow was one of 8 boys named to the all-region team. There are five girls from eastern Maine that have been named All-Region. Kassie Krul a junior from Camden Hills, Eliza Jansujwicz a sophomore from Bangor, and junior Anika Elias from Waterville.
From the county, Kolleen Bouchard from Houlton and Madison Michaud from Presque Isle.
