Harasymiak leaves UMaine football for asst. coaching job at Minnesota

ORONO, MAINE (WABI) - The Joe Harasymiak era is over after three seasons as head coach at UMaine. He's leaving for Minnesota. Joe just led the Black Bears on the furthest run they've ever made going to the NCAA tournament semifinals. They finished at 10 and 4 this year. He was 20-15 in Orono. He will become a defensive assistant for the Gopher football team in the Big Ten, a power-5 conference, and UMaine Athletic Director Ken Ralph says it's what happens when you have such a talented head coach at this level.
