OXFORD, Maine (WMTW) - The Oxford County Sheriff's Office has identified the woman found in Waterford on Monday as 48-year-old Carole Turner.
Officials said on Monday, Turner was reported missing. She had last been seen around 7:30 p.m. Sunday near her home on Ben Hale Road in Waterford.
Her body was found Monday on a logging trail near her home.
Officials believe Turner walked away from her home, got disoriented and died.
The medical examiner's office will determine cause of death.
The state police major crimes unit was notified, which is standard protocol.
