The Warden Service tells us that one person is dead after a rafting accident on the Kennebec River in The Forks Saturday.
Officials say 33-year-old Emily Fournier of Fairfield and her family were whitewater rafting with the Magic Falls Rafting company before being thrown out of the raft.
Officials believe Fournier soon after drowned in the river.
Fournier was pulled back onto the raft and treated by EMS personnel before being pronounced dead.
Two others were thrown out of the raft as well with no reported injuries.
