A woman is recovering from a minor head injury after she was hit by a car while getting ready to cross the street in Brewer.
Police say just before 10 a.m. Thursday, the woman stepped off the curb and into the cross walk at the intersection of Wilson and South Main Street.
Police say the driver was making a right hand turn on to Wilson and bumped into the woman.
We're told she was taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Sgt. Nelson Feero says, "As with anything, always be cautious. Just because you have a walk signal, make sure all the cars are stopping for you. And the same thing for drivers. Just because you have a green light, make sure you're cautious of pedestrians. Kinda watch out for each other."
Police are still investigating.
They say no charges have been filed and none are expected.
