The Waterville Humane Society is asking for your help, or else it may have to shut down.
They are looking to bring in at least $250,000 by the end of the year.
The shelter takes in about 2000 animals per year and has a 97% plus placement rate.
Shelter officials say they're in desperate need of support.
"We're in a bit of a crisis monetarily," says Lisa Oakes, President of the Board of Directors of the Waterville Humane Society. "We need funding in order to keep the facility open."
"In the long term, we want this place to be sustainable and operate as a full facility."
