OXFORD, Maine (WABI) - Maine game wardens are identifying the Paris man shot during a hunting-related incident Saturday in Oxford.

32-year old, James Footman, of Paris, was air-lifted to Central Maine Medical Center with serious injuries to both of his arms.

Investigators say the shooting took place a quarter-mile into the woods near the intersection of Number Six and Airport Road just after 2:00 p.m.

They say Footman was part of a four person deer hunting party.

Corporal John McDonald of the Maine Warden Service says they will be working in conjunction with the Oxford County District Attorney's Office to gather information in this case to determine if charges will be filed.
