WATERVILLE, Maine (WABI) - The United Way of Mid-Maine needs your help to reach their fundraising goal this year.
They have raised about $490,000 of their $700,000 goal.
The United Way helps numerous organizations, such as KVCAP, the Mid-Maine Homeless Shelter, and the Hospice Volunteers of Somerset County.
They say the money they raise goes a long way in the communities they serve.
"The donations that we received last year helped us reach 45,000 people in our service area," said CEO Elizabeth Barron. "It makes a huge impact on the individual and it makes a huge impact on the programs that are providing the services."
