UPDATE: Baileyville Woman Charged in Connection with Calais Shooting

CALAIS, Maine (WABI) - A sixth person has been arrested in connection with a shooting and high speed chase in Calais.

Police say 25-year-old Brittany Wescott of Baileyville turned herself in Wednesday.

Charges against her include aggravated attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder and drug trafficking.

Wescott, along with five men involved in this incident, are being held at the Washington County Jail in Machais.

Last week, a man reported two men shot at him near the Calais Motor Inn, then fled the scene.

One, a man from Baileyville, was arrested not too far away.

The four others, all from the Bronx, New York drove off, sending police on a chase to Brookton, where they were arrested.
