Three people displaced following Old Town building fire

OLD TOWN, Maine. (WABI) - One person was taken the hospital for smoke inhalation after a fire in Old Town.

Firefighters were called to the home on 6th Street, Friday morning.

When crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the second floor and fire in the walls.

Fire officials said there's a lot of damage.

Capt. Matt Redding, Old Town Fire, and Rescue said, "We had a total of 28 personnel on scene. I think we used every single one of them. This was a hard to get fire, lots of chasing it back and forth. The only real issue we had is a lot of clutter in the house made it very hard to gain access to the third story attic area."

Three people are displaced. The Fire Marshal's Office has been called in to look for a cause.
