Thomaston man to prison for shooting on Southport Island that injured woman

SOUTHPORT ISLAND, Maine (WABI) - A Thomaston man will spend three-and-a-half years in prison for a shooting that injured a woman on Southport Island.

35-year-old Allan Wigglesworth was sentenced last week for aggravated assault and domestic violence reckless conduct, among other counts.

Deputies were called to a home on Church Street in June where Wigglesworth was arrested.

A 24-year-old woman had been shot in the arm, a 38-year-old man had been assaulted.

Police say all three of them knew each other.

Wigglesworth also has to pay more than 19-thousand dollars in restitution to the two victims.
