BANGOR, ME. (WABI) - The Bangor region chamber of commerce held its first "hot stove" session of the season.
The monthly sessions offers local state and federal officials to meet with business and community members to discuss issues in the community.
The meeting tackled topics such as health care education and taxes.
That's why organizers say this day is so important for folks to engage in the conversation.
"It's that shared dialogue around the issues that are important to all of us for the legislators in the room they can really let us know about the topics that are happening that they need our input in and then certainly with the business and community members in the room it's really a panel of experts"
The meetings will be held monthly through May at Eastern Maine Community College.
