State Police say burglary in Dixmont happened around midnight Wednesday

DIXMONT, Maine (WABI) - State police responded to a break-in at a business on Moosehead Trail in Dixmont Wednesday night.

It was shortly before midnight.

They say someone forcibly entered the business and stole numerous items.

They saw footprints about a mile away and say they tracked down Cristhian Zunigameza through the woods and arrested him.

Police say he had fled the scene and crashed the vehicle he was driving in a wooded area along Moosehead Trail.

Troopers recovered all the stolen property from the burglary.

Charges against Zunigameza include burglary, theft, criminal mischief, driving under the influence and driving after suspension.
