BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - The holiday lights are on a St. Joseph Healthcare!
The annual Lights of Remembrance event was held Wednesday night.
The hearty crowd that braved the cold treated to the singing of the St. Johns Children's Choir.
Some cookies, cocoa and candy canes too.
And of course the big countdown to the lighting of the hospital decorations..
Lighting up the night sky, a symbol for the community the hospital serves...
"We're a community hospital," said St. Joseph Healthcare President Mary Prybylo. "St. Joe's is Bangor's community hospital so we really feel that we have to give back to the community and this is an important event to kick off the holiday season in the right way."
Knowing the holidays can be a tough time for those that have lost loved ones - lights of remembrance ornaments can be purchased and a loved one's name hung on the tree in the hospital lobby.
