A call to all knitters and those who crochet to help keep Olympic athletes warm.
Special Olympics Maine is looking for help with the Scarf Project.
The winter games are at Sugarloaf.
About 500 athletes compete there each year.
Scarves for them need to be sent in by mid-January.
The design and pattern is up to you. Any combo of purple, green and blue will do.
The majority of athletes are teens and adults so no small scarves.
You can send them to Special Olympics Maine, 125 John Roberts Road, Suite 5 in South Portland.
Call 879-0489 for more info.
