Some Theatre Co. has two performances coming up this month.

The first show "Love Letters" is written by AR Gurney and will be directed by Erryn Bard.

Andrew Makepeace Ladd III and Melissa Gardner, both born to wealth and position, are childhood friends whose lifelong correspondence begins with birthday party thank-you notes and summer camp postcards. They continue to exchange letters through the years-physically apart, perhaps, but spiritually as close as only true lovers can be. Evocative, touching, frequently funny but always telling, where what is implied is as revealing and meaningful as what is actually written down.

Show dates and times:

Thursday February 8th at 7:30 pm

Friday February 9th at 7:30 pm

Saturday February 10th 7:30 pm

Sunday February 11th at 2:00pm

The second show is titled "Wilde Tales" written by Jeremy Bloom and directed by Elaine Bard.

Come through the garden gate to a world where swallows, statues, and fireworks speak with all the wit of Oscar Wilde. Five stories of love and loss from Wilde's collection of stories for young people, The Happy Prince and Other Tales, are woven together with Wilde's later verse and clever puppetry in this innovative theatrical vision. A statue and his friend test the limits of generosity; a nightingale sacrifices everything for the sake of true love; a giant builds a wall to keep children out of his garden; a family of ducks try to teach a water rat about compassion, and a self-important firework finds his purpose. Wilde's lush, bittersweet fables have long spellbound readers of all ages-- Now, masterfully planted onstage by Jeremy Bloom, these wild tales grow into a joyful evening for all.

Show dates and times:

Friday February 23rd at 7:30 pm

Saturday February 24th at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm

Sunday February 25th at 2:00 pm

The theater is located at the Keith Anderson Community House on 19 Bennoch Road in Orono.
