Solar panels to reduce electricity usage at Blaine House

AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Solar panels are being installed at the governor's residence in Augusta.

They're being added to the roof of the garage at the Blaine House, but not on the house itself.

State officials say the cost of the project is around $62,000.

We're told the panels will provide enough power to cover roughly 25% of the Blaine House's electricity usage.
