It was a full day of racing in Bradford on Saturday, as members of the Maine Highlands Sled Dog Club hosted their Bradford Sprint Race.
Riders eagerly took to the starting line in the hopes they would place first in their class.
Organizers say they've developed a close-knit community.
"We are a pretty close-knit bunch, and we get together on the weekends and run the dogs and play that way,” said club Vice President Valerie Parent. “but we'd love to have new people come and that's actually why we started our two dog class. Not everybody can afford a kennel of 20 or 30 dogs, so the people who have two can come out and play and enjoy it with us."
Their next set of races takes place in March.
