Skowhegan voters reject plan to borrow $8.5 million for new public safety building

SKOWHEGAN, Maine (WABI) Skowhegan voters have said that they do not support town leaders borrowing money for a new public safety building.

While the purchase of the site had been approved, voters were asked to decide about the $8.5 million needed for construction of the building.

The referendum failed by 571 votes.
