Lisa Joy White the Volunteer Coordinator and Clients Services for Pine Tree Hospice is in to talk about an upcoming volunteer training.

Pine Tree Hospice volunteers offer non-medical support to individuals and families throughout our wide coverage area who are dealing with progressive, life-limiting illnesses and/or grief.

There is an ever increasing demand for volunteers who are willing to provide companionship and support, play games, run errands, do some light housekeeping, take folks out for a ride, or just sit quietly so a caregiver can rest.

There is also a need for volunteers to provide bereavement support to children and families.

And you can do this by offering just a few hours of your time each month.

Pine Tree Hospice tagline is "We can't add days to your life, but we can add life to your days."

Volunteering will add life to your days, and to the people you support!

Pine Tree Hospice is offering a free volunteer training that begins on Thursday, March 15th.

They encourage you to participate in this training and explore the possibility of making a difference in someone's life.

Pine Tree Hospice is a community-based, not-for-profit volunteer hospice that has provided service in 39 communities in Piscataquis, Somerset, and Penobscot Counties for over 30 years.
