Senior Watch: Study of Language and Communication in Older Adults

Christopher Grindrod, PhD, the Assistant Professor in the Department of Communications Sciences and Disorders at the University Of Maine is in to talk about a research project going on that is in need of participants.
The research is being done on language and communication in older adults.
A person who is eligible to participate:
Be right handed
Be a native English speaker
Be 55 to 85 years old
Have good hearing and vision
The study takes place over 2 to 3 sessions, which each last about an hour long. The first session, the participants will be asked to complete tests of hearing, vision, handedness, and thinking processes. In later sessions, participants will be asked to complete tests of their attention, memory, and language.
There is compensation for participation of $10 an hour.
