Mark Pechenik from the Alzheimer's Association is in to talk about the Legacy Storytellers program.
The legacy storytellers is a free program open to eligible individuals living with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias, those with memory challenges, and their care partners.
Participants in the program share their live story with a trained college student who will create a written legacy of family, friends, and the participant.
During this process participants help educate students and help them become health care professionals who better understand Alzheimer's disease.
Coming up next month, there will be a Legacy Storytellers information session being held on Tuesday, September 12th from 2 to 3 pm at Easter Area Agency on Aging, 450 Essex Street in Bangor.
Advanced registration is recommended, contact Terri Gallant at tgallant@eaaa.org or call 941-2865 ext. 129
