SABATTUS, Maine (WABI) - Officials say the woman who died in a fire in Sabattus Friday was likely trying to light a fire in her woodstove when the flames spread through the living room.

According to authorities, 63-year-old Darlene Shores lived alone in the home on Wales Road and had been without electricity and running water for about six years.

Investigators say there were no working smoke detectors in the home.
